Title: Our Old Mill

Walking around our dilapidated, yet historic, old mill I was wondering how on earth it has been left to decay to the state it is today. I was looking for a different angle of the mill and took quite a few images of different viewpoints and came across this view which is directly looking up from one of the corners. I thought it looked more dramatic in Black and White as it was quite a grey day and that combination speaks to its current state. Hopefully sometime soon good things will start to happen with our mill, the whole of Belper has its fingers crossed.

Artist Bio:

Kelly has been the joint organiser of The Belper Arts Trail for the last 10 years, and the event has grown in popularity and scope in that time. Kelly's passion for the arts in Belper doesn't stop there; she also curated The Cherry Orchard pop-up gallery on the Market Place in Belper, where she showcased the works of local artists.

She has a profound appreciation for illustration, is a big fan of comics, anime, and manga and she uses these mediums as a source of inspiration whenever she gets the chance.

Her other obsession is what you see here.. photography, and she's determined to explore this passion to its fullest. For Kelly, photography is more than just a hobby; it's a way of bringing the world to life and giving it meaning. She feels that photography is a way for her to express herself and share her unique perspective with the world. Kelly plans to capture every moment of her explorations through her camera.
